New management for Mann + Hummel
Kurk Wilks has been appointed as the new CEO of Mann + Hummel with effect from January 1, 2020. He succeeds Werner Lieberherr, who left the filtration specialist in October.
Together with Executive Vice President and Chief Finance Officer Emese Weissenbacher and Chief Operating Officer Nic Zerbst, Kurk Wilks will lead the Group.
Kurk Wilks has been part of the company for around twenty years and has headed up the Automotive Original Equipment Business Unit since 2019, which he will continue to manage. He previously worked in various positions at Mann + Hummel in the USA. Initially as Sales Manager before becoming President and General Manager Original Equipment after holding other positions within the company.
"I have been able to get to know all areas at Mann + Hummel over the past few years. Now I am delighted to be able to tackle the biggest challenge yet together with Emese Weissenbacher and Nic Zerbst," says Kurk Wilks. "Thanks to our employees and our strong brands, we are well positioned in all business areas. The task now is to further expand our global market leadership in the area of filtration. I am grateful to the Supervisory Board for the trust they have placed in me and for allowing me to be responsible for the continuity of the family business."
