Its customers are located not only in Germany and other European countries, but also in the Middle East and Africa. The company is correspondingly international. The employees come from 26 different nations. "The German subsidiary has been an essential part of Mitsubishi Electric's European business since it was founded," explains Andreas Wagner, President of the German subsidiary.

After its foundation in 1978, the German subsidiary developed rapidly. While the initial focus was on the sale of consumer goods, business activities were continuously expanded. In the 1980s, the company recorded enormous growth and expanded the activities of the German branch to other product areas.

In addition to the branch at the Mitsubishi Electric site in Ratingen, there are now 16 other sales companies, twelve production facilities and two research and development centers in Europe.

Mitsubishi Electric is active in Europe in the fields of information processing and communication, semiconductors, automotive, industrial technology, energy, transportation, building management and air conditioning and heating technology. "One of our strengths is to think in terms of solutions that encompass many industries and technologies. By dissolving the boundaries of individual business areas, we will create sustainable potential for the further positive business development of our German subsidiary," emphasizes Andreas Wagner. "We still have big plans for the coming decades." as
