Kistler plans double-digit growth for 2023
The Kistler Group is on course for growth: at 434 million euros, turnover in 2022 was up 5.5% on the previous year. In 2023, the company aims to achieve double-digit growth by expanding the Chinese market, among other things.
"Despite a persistently volatile environment characterized by a shortage of skilled workers, high energy and raw material prices and the continued critical availability of materials, we are optimistic," says Rolf Sonderegger, CEO of the Kistler Group.
Kistler is continuing to develop its sites in promising regions in a targeted manner. China in particular - already Kistler's largest market - continues to offer great potential and is set to become an integral part of the Kistler Group in the future. Accordingly, an expansion of local production and the strengthening of local responsibility are planned for 2023.
Focus on innovation
Targeted investment in future-oriented technologies and product innovations is intended to further extend the company's technological lead. In doing so, the measurement technology expert is focusing on the global trends of digitalization, sustainability and e-mobility. Around eight percent of annual turnover is invested in research and development. A dedicated business incubator will also create the space to further develop special business areas with innovation and growth potential in a protected environment. The plan is to relocate the entire Biomechanics division to the Business Incubator in 2023.
Sustainable personnel development
To ensure external competitiveness and internal wage equality, Kistler increased its salary budget by 5.8% in the annual salary round in 2023. "Investing in sustainable personnel development is particularly important to us, especially in light of the general shortage of skilled workers. We can only ensure further growth with the right employees. A competitive and transparent salary system is a basic requirement here," says Sonderegger. Globally, the company was also able to increase its workforce by around 100 positions, bringing the total number of employees to 2,045.
