SAS Forum 2019

Innovative technologies

Innovative technologies such as advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision are dominating business discussions in a wide range of sectors.

The SAS Forum 2019 will show the extent to which they are already being used in practice. The largest German-language analytics conference will bring together thought leaders and users at the World Conference Center in Bonn on June 4 and 5. Well over 1,000 participants are expected to attend the conference and just as many viewers are expected to watch the live stream.

Numerous users will report on their experiences with SAS and their industry-specific requirements in presentations. Financial institutions such as Commerzbank and ING, retail companies such as Coop, insurance companies such as Ergo and HUK-Coburg and industrial companies such as Siemens and Continental will be on site. SAS will also be presenting its latest technology developments for the SAS Platform. There will also be "hands-on" analytics: In the exhibition area, visitors can experience the company's technologies live in action using demos and application scenarios.

Bestselling author Prof. Dr. Viktor Mayer-Schönberger opens the conference with a keynote speech on the topic of "Reinventing the market with data" and explains why data can coordinate the economy better than money and what value it creates. The economic philosopher Anders Indset, known as "Rock'n'Roll Plato", will give an outlook on a time of permanent revolution and a world of improvisation. He explains why, in ten years' time, companies will no longer be looking for software engineers, but for employees who can apply philosophy in practice and use their findings in a meaningful way for the (business) world.
