Hanover Fair 2018
German-Turkish cooperation in the mechanical engineering sector
Turkish Machinery will once again represent the Turkish mechanical engineering sector at this year's Hannover Messe and will be represented with a stand. The association is launching its trade fair presence for 2018 together with 68 Turkish companies.
The mechanical engineering sector continues to be the engine of the Turkish economy. Over the past 15 years, the Turkish mechanical engineering industry has recorded above-average growth in terms of production, exports, investment, employment and research and development.
Even though the upward trend of the Turkish economy as a whole has been struggling with various barriers for some time, the mechanical engineering sector is defying this trend with committed and dynamic companies and is facing up to the challenges of the future.
The mechanical engineering sector sees increasing exports, diversifying product groups in the sub-sectors and increasing added value in production and exports as key objectives. Higher investments in technologies and new partnerships are planned, as well as the further development of products and services in the upper to medium and high-tech segments.
The economic players attach particular importance to the intensive and proven economic relations between Germany and Turkey, which have been developed over many years. The German mechanical engineering sector is seen as an important driver of technology, progress, innovation and quality in Turkey.
It is therefore very important for many Turkish companies to work closely with the German sector in order to use their own advantages of flexibility, willingness to innovate and perform and geostrategic advantages to meet the requirements of technological developments and to learn and develop from and with German companies. am
