Future-oriented new building at Arno Werkzeuge

At the end of 2017, Arno Werkzeuge inaugurated its new building at its headquarters in Ostfildern. The manufacturer of cutting tools is thus committing itself to Germany as a production location and is well prepared to meet the demands of the market.

Around 2,800 square meters of additional space is available on several floors. The production area for carrier tools and special tools has been greatly expanded and storage capacity increased by around 75 percent. The aim is faster and more flexible order processing and delivery. Ergonomic workstations support the employees in this.

In terms of construction, various regenerative measures sustainably improve the energy balance. An air heat pump provides cooling in summer and heat generation in the transitional period. Greenery on the roof is not only visually appealing, but also functional. It insulates the rooms better and makes the indoor climate more pleasant. In addition, the new building was constructed from aerated concrete, which makes further insulation materials unnecessary. Overall, these measures reduce the annual primary energy requirement by 20 percent.

In addition to the new premises, the demonstration and test center for tools has been newly equipped. This is where the company promotes machining solutions and offers its customers and employees the opportunity to experience, test and improve precision tools under real conditions.

Convincing experience and pioneering spirit

In future, larger customer events, technical training courses and workshops will be offered in the Panorama meeting room, which has a capacity of 200 seats. At a machining seminar, customers were able to learn about the latest technology in a wide range of machining options such as turning, grooving, drilling and milling. Two Citizen sliding headstock lathes and numerous presentations on current topics in the machining industry rounded off the offer.

The customers were thoroughly impressed by the new building and the machining seminar and were able to take home many new insights for their daily work - as well as the certainty of working with a partner with a solid foundation. am
