Framos joins the Embedded Vision Alliance
Image processing specialist Framos has joined the Embedded Vision Alliance. The global industry association brings together technology providers and companies from the computer vision sector that support innovative applications for computer-aided vision.
Intelligent devices and machines place new demands on image processing functions and systems. Whether driverless cars, intelligent vacuum cleaners or robots interacting as colleagues in industrial production - only seamlessly integrated embedded vision systems make the devices truly effective tools.
With its commitment, Framos is responding to the growing importance of fully integrated vision systems. By exchanging information on new markets, technologies, applications and standards, the globally active company aims to contribute its expertise and over 36 years of experience to the future direction of the industry.
Sebastien Dignard, President and Head of Global Sales, Support and Marketing, emphasizes the importance of membership in the Embedded Vision Alliance: "Having helped enable, shape and observe the development of machine vision over the last 36 years, Framos believes that the Embedded Vision Alliance is in a position to really drive the industry forward. Our unique market position combined with our solutions from single sensor to complete system is a logical fit and we are committed to contributing to the further development of the Embedded Vision Alliance and the market."
"We warmly welcome Framos to the Embedded Vision Alliance," says Jeff Bier, founder of the association. "Computer vision is having a major impact on many novel applications and markets, such as smart cities or intelligent applications in the automotive and medical sectors. Framos' decades of machine vision experience is very valuable as the company has a long history of addressing embedded vision and the needs of companies developing novel, visually-driven systems that are smarter, easier to use, safer and more interactive than ever." kp
