Nichia acquires shares in Deutsche Lichtmiete

The declared aim of the cooperation between Deutsche Lichtmiete and the Nichia Corporation is to jointly create more growth in the LED industrial lighting market. The Japanese company has now secured shares in Deutsche Lichtmiete.

The German company and the Japanese manufacturer of LEDs have been working together for some time. The Nichia Corporation has now secured shares as part of a capital increase by Deutsche Lichtmiete. The aim is to further strengthen the strategic partnership.

Nichia is a global chemical and semiconductor group headquartered in Tokushima, Japan. According to the press release, the Group aims to optimize existing synergies, improve its market access and further shorten its time-to-market by acquiring the shares. Shinichi Yuasa, Director Sales and Marketing of Nichia's Optoelectronics division, commented on the reasons: "We are a global technology company with a high awareness of quality and the environment. The path to sustainability leads through innovative and, above all, market-oriented solutions. For us as a manufacturer and supplier of reliable and innovative LEDs, Deutsche Lichtmiete with its corporate philosophy, its exceptional business model and its know-how is the ideal partner.
