Training center for machine and equipment safety
DEKRA trains experts in machine safety
DEKRA has opened its first training center for machine and equipment safety in Brilon. Here, the company's own employees are qualified to test work and operating equipment in accordance with the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health.
The testing organization DEKRA has opened a new training center for the "Machinery and Equipment" department in Brilon in the Hochsauerland district. Modern training rooms and a training hall with around 80 fully functional machines and devices are available on around 1,000 square meters. Here, participants train in safety inspections on industrial trucks, roller doors and vehicle lifts, among other things.
At the end of the courses, the participants acquire the qualification of "qualified person for testing" for the respective content. "Qualified personnel are DEKRA's most important asset," emphasized Jann Fehlauer, Managing Director Services/Technology at DEKRA Automobil, at the opening of the new premises. "That's why we at DEKRA take the qualification of our own specialists into our own hands and invest sustainably in training centers for the various technical specialist areas."
The center was set up during the year using our own resources and is already up and running. The training combines web-based training, theoretical and practical modules and final examinations. Around 330 training courses for DEKRA experts and test engineers are planned in Brilon for 2026.
