Metav is postponed
The Düsseldorf machine tool trade fair has been postponed due to the current coronavirus epidemic.
The German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW), organizer of Metav at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, announced on Friday afternoon that the event planned for 10 to 13 March will be postponed. However, a new date has not yet been set.
Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of METAV organizer VDW, explained the decision as follows: "We did not take the decision lightly, but the coronavirus or Covid-19 has spread extremely dynamically in recent days. With the high number of infected people in Italy and the spread in North Rhine-Westphalia right on the METAV's doorstep, the uncertainty among our exhibitors has increased considerably." dsc
