The company's history began in 1965 in the basement of the family home of one of the four founding partners. Today, Lenord+Bauer is represented by subsidiaries in China, Italy, India and the USA in addition to the headquarters in Oberhausen and the production facility in Gladbeck. The sensors and actuators are also marketed worldwide via sales partners. With a turnover of just under €40 million and around 240 employees, the company is a reliable medium-sized enterprise.

Managing partners Dr. Matthias Lenord and Dr. Rudo Grimm are jointly steering the fortunes of the family business into the future. Both are guided by the company slogan 'Finding Solutions. Founding Trust. - Finding solutions based on trust. "It is important to me to closely combine the values from my Christian faith with entrepreneurship. That's why trusting cooperation plays a central role for me - with business partners and, of course, especially with employees," says Matthias Lenord.

Rudo Grimm adds: "We develop solutions that address our customers' most important challenges. Our new actuator is a good example: it was the result of an intensive exchange with users. We wanted to know: "What really matters to you?" We incorporated this feedback directly into product development. We are also breaking new ground in order to address market potential at an early stage. To this end, we are working specifically with start-ups and universities, currently for example in the development of an external rotor electric motor with cast stator coils."
