Polyurethane processing
Brückner takes over the Hennecke Group
With the acquisition of the Hennecke Group, the Brückner Group is expanding its technology portfolio to include key competencies in polyurethane processing. The transaction is expected to be completed at the beginning of January.
The Brückner Group is continuing on its growth path and is expanding its international portfolio with the acquisition of the Hennecke Group to include central technologies for machines, plants and systems for processing polyurethane. The acquisition complements the Group's existing range of services and at the same time opens up access to additional markets, according to the company press release. Hennecke is regarded as the market leader in the field of reactive plastics and brings corresponding material and application expertise to the Group. The technologies are used in numerous industries, including construction, furniture and refrigeration technology.
The agreement between the Brückner Group and a fund advised by Capvis AG from Switzerland as the majority owner of the Hennecke Group was signed on December 3, 2025. The transaction is expected to be completed at the beginning of January.
"With Hennecke, we are gaining a highly specialized addition to our portfolio. The acquisition of another market-leading technology company rounds off the Brückner Group's product range in a meaningful way and gives Hennecke access to our innovative strength and global presence," explains Axel von Wiedersperg, CEO of the Brückner Group.
Hennecke has an international network of locations in Germany, Italy, the USA and China. The company offers a product portfolio with innovative systems and technologies that offer both economic and ecological benefits and enjoys a strong reputation in the plastics industry, particularly outside the packaging sector. For the Brückner Group, this means entering new product fields and further strengthening its global technological expertise.
"The merger combines technological expertise and international market presence. We are thus creating the basis for further expanding our position in the global polyurethane market. This step is a consistent further development of our Hennecke Business System and the Focus2030 strategy for sustainable growth," adds Thomas Wildt, CEO of the Hennecke Group.
