More torque

With the SC2818, Nanotec is presenting a stepper motor with a flange size of 28 millimetres and a torque of up to 0.22 Newton meters. This means that the SC2818 has a torque that is more than 30 percent higher than standard motors of the same size, according to the supplier.

The step angle of this two-phase hybrid stepper motor is 1.8 degrees. As with the other SC series from Nanotec, the connection is made via a connector integrated into the motor, making it easy to adapt the cable for customer-specific applications. A connection cable is included in the scope of delivery. The motors are available in three lengths, each with one or two motor shafts. The version with a B-shaft is also available with an optional NOE1 series encoder with up to 2,000 increments/revolution. Due to its high torque and small size, the SC2818 motor series is suitable for use in laboratory automation or service robotics. pb
