Simulation
As real as the machine
ISG Industrial Control Technology will be presenting the latest version of its hardware-in-the-loop system ISG-virtuos at SPS IPC Drives. With the help of this software, machine and system manufacturers can create digital twins that are indistinguishable from real machines right down to component level.
Real-time control system simulation allows concepts to be validated in advance or virtual commissioning to be carried out. Companies can also carry out tests throughout the entire production cycle. ISG-virtuos creates "living" digital twins with the help of modules that behave like real components in terms of interfaces, behaviour in control real time and parameterization.
The control architecture is designed for real-time control (less than one millisecond). According to the manufacturer, the hardware-in-the-loop solution therefore enables deterministically exact performance statements that are accurate to the clock, taking all components and assemblies into account. The digital twin is configured using components from the standard libraries, and behavioral models for customer-specific components and assemblies can also be created and used as reusable library modules. as
