The company has connected the rotating drivetrain wirelessly and made it digitally accessible for the IIoT. The proven integrated sensor technology from R+W can be easily integrated into already installed couplings. Installation is quick and easy, which minimizes integration effort and acquisition costs. Thanks to compatibility with existing components, neither additional installation space nor auxiliary constructions are required.

Bellows coupling with integrated sensors

In addition to multi-plate clutches, drive shafts and flanges, R+W's standard product, the bellows coupling, is now also available with integrated sensors. The main difference to the previous clutch models is the more compact design of the iBK. It offers all the features of the standard coupling and also functions as a wireless measuring unit. Using integrated sensor technology, important parameters such as torque, speed, acceleration and optionally also axial force and lateral force are transmitted directly from the rotating drive train to a gateway and can be recorded and processed in downstream measurement control or data processing systems.
