Plastic gearing parts

Plastic drive elements

Low weight, corrosion resistance, smooth running, minimal maintenance: plastic gears offer advantages over steel models. Norelem has included various designs in its range.

Spur gears ensure positive and slip-free transmission of forces with alternating directions of rotation, for example for lifting and lowering machine elements or loads. Straight-toothed plastic spur gears with twelve to 150 teeth are available in module 0.5 to 3. The combination of rack and spur gear converts rotary movements into linear movements or vice versa. The range includes plastic models in module 0.5 to 3 with a standard length of 250 millimetres. Plastic bevel gears in module 1 to 3.5 are available with ratios of 1:1 to 1:5 as standard; they are required for the construction of angular gearboxes for high reduction ratios and torques. All gearing parts are available in both polyacetal and polyketone; under normal stress, both plastics can be used in a temperature range from minus 40 to plus 140 degrees Celsius. pb
