Planetary gearbox
For high radial loads
At Motek, Neugart presented the NGV planetary gearbox, which is specifically designed for use in automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The bearings are designed and positioned in such a way that they allow high radial loads on the output.
AGVs transport heavy loads in continuous operation and therefore place high demands on the design and mechanics. As the gearbox is usually located directly in the wheel, the entire weight of the vehicle and payload acts on the output bearings of the gearbox, depending on the chassis principle. This results in high radial loads. In addition, the naturally tight space conditions in the vehicle require a compact, space-saving design of the transmission.
The Neugart NGV planetary gearbox meets these special requirements with preloaded angular roller bearings. These can absorb high forces due to their design. This means that the wheel does not have to be supported separately, but the bearings on the output take on the load.
The interface between the transmission and chassis has also been optimized in the NGV. The mounting flange of the gearbox is positioned so close to the chassis that it can be mounted directly there. The engine and gearbox can also be pre-assembled as a unit and installed together. Different motor adapters make it possible to fit almost any motor. The wheel itself is mounted directly on the flange output shaft from the outside and can therefore be replaced quickly and easily if necessary.
