Design of geared motors
Orientation goes online
SEW's online drive design tool makes calculations easier. Technical purchasers, project engineers and designers can check which geared motors are suitable and what effect changed application data will have.
SEW-Eurodrive makes it easier for customers and interested parties to design geared motors using the online drive design tool. Users receive suitable drive recommendations with just a few data and application details.
The web application provides initial guidance on which geared motor may be suitable for the application in question. It enables the initial design to get a feel for the required size. And finally, you can check how changed application data affects the load on the drive technology.
Complicated calculations are a thing of the past
The tool has a simple and intuitive user interface. In the SEW product and service world, it represents a major simplification for the user compared to the familiar Workbench. The specialist knowledge of an expert can be requested at any stage for comprehensive and detailed advice. The drive design is available online around the clock and can be used directly without registration. The dynamic graphical structure of the tool makes it just as easy to use on mobile devices as on desktop PCs.
The online product design is based on the customer application. It includes a selection of classic applications such as hoists, carriages, turntables, roller conveyors, chain conveyors and goods conveyors in the field of intralogistics. The tool takes into account the latest motor series of IE3 asynchronous motors DRN.. in conjunction with the standard modular gear unit system from SEW. This includes helical, parallel shaft and worm gear units as well as bevel gear units and Spiroplan right-angle gear units.
The new tool is integrated into the online support. This means that the design result can be transferred to the product configurator or directly to the shopping cart for an inquiry or order. Alternatively, you can have the result document sent to you as a PDF file. The CAD data and product documentation are linked in this interactive document. The online drive design tool will be available from October 1, 2018. as
