Modular system for drives

Ebm-papst has revised its BLDC drive ECI-42.xx and is now premiering the first representative of the new modular drive typology at SPS IPC Drives.

The basic version of the modular system consists of motors with Hall sensors (K1 motors), integrated encoder and brake, gearbox, industrial-grade plug and is available in protection class IP54. According to the manufacturer, drives can also be intuitively parameterized using the new Drivestudio software.

The factory-set standard parameters such as speed or travel distance can be changed via the software. This means that the preferred types or drives can be tested in smaller quantities in the application in a timely manner. Finally, the 420J compact fan from ebm-papst will also be available with protection class IP68, EMC protection class B and 48-volt DC voltage input.

In particular, the IP68 protection class in conjunction with improved EMC properties should make it easier to use in automation applications such as frequency converters or motor soft starters. The fan is also equipped for use in deep-freeze packaging machines, lasers and in telecommunications and IT applications. as
