Flat gearbox

Flat with lots of power

One of the innovations that ABM Greiffenberger will be presenting at SPS IPC Drives is the FGA 172/173 flat gearbox, which transmits torques of up to 170 Newton meters continuously and is available in two and three-stage versions.

It is particularly suitable for conveyor technology, for example as a drive for chain conveyors, conveyor belts, turntables and vertical conveyors, but also as a crane travel drive in lifting technology. This gearbox can be easily combined with both three-phase asynchronous motors and Sinochron motors. The Sinochron motors, which have been expanded to include sizes 80 and 100 with an output of up to 13 kilowatts, will also be on show in Nuremberg.

The drives are characterized by high power density and high efficiency. The key to this is a permanently excited synchronous motor that operates with virtually no rotor losses. Thanks to the anisotropic rotor geometry and the optimum ratio of inductances in the longitudinal and transverse directions, the motors can be operated without sensors using a suitable controller. By eliminating the encoder, the entire drive runs stably and ensures high availability for the user. as
