Logimat 2024
Space-saving drive solutions for conveyor and storage technology
At LogiMAT 2024, Heidrive presented drive solutions for conveyor and warehouse technology. Sister company Allied Motion was also represented on the stand.
also represented at the stand.
Modern conveyor and picking systems such as automated logistics systems with conveyor technology, lifting systems or automated guided vehicles (AGVs) play an essential role in the material flow. As drive technology specialists, Heidrive and Allied Motion develop and manufacture customized drive solutions in close cooperation with customers. These can be integrated into the respective application to save space.
Drive units for AGV applications
The focus of the trade fair presentation at this year's LogiMAT was on the new drive solutions consisting of motor and gearbox for automated guided vehicles (AGV). The AGV gearboxes were specially developed for use as wheel hub gearboxes in a wide variety of industrial trucks. In this type of application, the high requirements, such as a compact design and a direct connection to the application and the wheel to be driven, are met.
In order to achieve the best possible connection between the gearbox and servomotor, the AGV gearboxes were integrated into Heidrive's modular servomotor system with the tried-and-tested direct motor attachment. This results in units tailored to the requirements of battery-powered vehicles.
Allied Motion also presented drives for driverless transportation systems in Stuttgart. The KinetiMax High Power Density series is integrated into AGV wheel drives. The brushless and frameless external rotor motors are characterized by a robust housing and fail-safe brakes.
and fail-safe brakes.
Advantages through direct integration
With Heidrive, direct integration allows both overall length and weight to be saved, which has a positive effect on the portable payload and the dimensions of the entire drive unit. Direct mounting also offers the opportunity to further increase the transmission efficiency and thus the efficiency of the drive unit. The design of the transmission mounting allows very high radial forces, which correspond directly to the payload to be loaded, to be absorbed while at the same time ensuring high rigidity of the overall unit.
