Stepper motor

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Compact with high torque

With the SCA5618, Nanotec offers a stepper motor with 15 to 30 percent more torque than comparable motors with a flange size of 56 mm (NEMA 23). Thanks to an improved stator geometry and optimized magnetic materials, the rotor moment of inertia is no higher than that of the predecessor model.

The SCA5618 is available in three lengths and with two different windings. Depending on the length, the holding torque is 0.6 to 2.3 Ncm and the resolution is 1.8°. For a higher resolution, it can also be combined with an optical or magnetic encoder. The integrated connector makes it easy to connect to customer-specific cables or replace a motor. The stepper motor is available with one or two motor shafts. The GP56 series planetary gearboxes are suitable.
