Compact drive system

Decentralized intelligence on the axis

The compact drive system cyber dynamic system (CDS) from Wittenstein cyber motor is the motor-integrated version of the second generation of the industrial small servo drive system. It is available with both CANopen and a multi-Ethernet interface.

The new EtherNet/IP CIP Sync interface also enables motion control applications that are subject to demanding real-time requirements. The integrated electronics of the CDS are based on the newly designed cyber simco drive 2 controller generation. As independent control cabinet and field components, the servo controllers are around 30 percent smaller than the previous series. The core kinematic component of the CDS is a brushless servomotor. The decentralized control intelligence of the CDS allows complex motion sequences to be mapped in the form of motion tasks. This means that independent positioning operation with definable trajectories and motion block tables can be implemented directly in the small servo drive. as
