MIG/MAG welding machines
Flexibility with modular welding machines
Every working environment has different requirements for welding applications.
EWM has developed new modular versions of its Phoenix XQ puls, Taurus XQ Synergic and Taurus XQ Basic MIG/MAG welding machines to provide welders with even more individual convenience. This means that users can put together precisely tailored supplementary components for their daily work.
With the modular versions of the Phoenix XQ puls, Taurus XQ Synergic and Taurus XQ Basic, EWM is focusing even more on user customization. While the power source remains at the heart of the machine, other parts of the welding machine are not permanently installed and can therefore be freely configured with particular ease. For example, the user can decide which wire feed case or which cooling system they prefer for their daily work.
Customers can retrofit and gradually complete the purchased machine as required, including with a new cooling module such as the cool50-2 U40 for water-cooled welding torches or one of three different trolleys. These trolleys are designed for special areas of application such as construction sites and workshops. The modular XQ series can also be adapted to any work area with many other user-oriented accessories, such as a tool box or a protective screen for the control unit.
At the same time, the small space requirement and low weight of the modular devices create more mobility and increased flexibility. "The modular design places even greater emphasis on individual user comfort. The main features of the XQ series, in addition to the best welding properties, high process reliability, maximum ease of use, a long service life and low resource consumption, remain the same in every combination," explains Robert Stöckl, Sales Director at EWM. "As with the previous XQ devices, users can save themselves the trouble of setting up preferred welding parameters on a daily basis, as set operating points can be saved using the favorite buttons and easily recalled at any time at the touch of a button."
The decompact welding machine, which is equipped with a separate wire feed case, is not only available with the previous Drive XQ, but also with the new Drive XQ IC 200. Weighing just 10 kilograms, this wire feed case is ideal for working in hard-to-reach places. A robust and indestructible design supports its use in these work areas.
In addition, the modular versions of the XQ welding machines are also compatible with the ewm Xnet welding management software. The software solution supports, documents and analyzes the entire paperless production process - from work preparation to post-calculation. This facilitates quality assurance and makes it possible to evaluate the welding parameters of each job retrospectively.
