3D module connector

Connection of systems and modules

Emka is expanding its standard range for air conditioning technology with the new 3D module connector. The product connects (air conditioning) system and enclosure modules with a maximum mounting distance of 7 millimetres. Thanks to the corresponding surfaces (convex/concave), the user automatically achieves a three-dimensional positioning of the modules during screw fastening.

The screws can optionally be fitted with a cover. Air conditioning systems regulate the temperature and air exchange in building complexes. Due to the system-related overpressure and underpressure in the system components, leaks often occur at the doors, flaps and coupling points of the segments. This makes the connecting elements all the more important, as they need to hold the individual parts together securely while also preventing leaks.

According to the manufacturer, the new 3D module connector meets all of these requirements. The connecting element gets its name from the 3D effect created by the convex or concave spherical shape between the two elements. The sphere on the inside ensures that the two parts pull themselves into the center during assembly. In this way, the elements interlock in all "three dimensions" (spherical design). sw
