SPS expanded to include virtual trade fair

In order to strengthen the annual and urgently needed exchange among all participants in the automation industry and also to involve participants who are unable to attend the trade fair due to travel restrictions, the SPS in Nuremberg will be extended virtually this year by SPS Connect.

SPS Connect will accompany SPS in Nuremberg from November 24 to 26, 2020. This offers users who are unable to travel or can only be on site for one day the opportunity to participate throughout the event. In addition to an exciting and varied lecture program, the focus here, as at the trade fair in Nuremberg, is on networking between all participants.

With the help of AI technology, the SPS community has an innovative form of matchmaking at its disposal that supports it in reaching contacts either immediately or at a desired time. This enables a fast and comprehensive exchange between exhibitors and trade visitors in the digital environment. This digital meeting point is also available after the event, so that all participants can continue to access important content in addition to the expert exchange.

"With SPS Connect, we are creating a virtual platform for the entire SPS community. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some of our participants, especially those from outside Europe, are unable to attend the trade fair in Nuremberg. Nevertheless, there is still a need to find out about the latest innovations and trends in the automation industry, to exchange ideas with experts and to find suitable products and solutions for your own company. Our aim at both SPS in Nuremberg and SPS Connect is to bring people together and thus contribute to the urgently needed economic upturn," says Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Vice President SPS.

Top-class lecture program

SPS Connect is thematically based on the content of the trade fair in Nuremberg. The latest trends and innovations in the field of automation are the focus of the program. This includes product presentations from exhibitors as well as exciting keynote speeches, specialist lectures and panel discussions from the worlds of politics, business and industry. In subsequent live Q&A sessions, the audience will also have the opportunity to put their questions directly to the speakers or take part in discussions. A link to the exhibitor profiles enables all participants to engage in a personal exchange even after a presentation. Presentations from the trade fair forums and live impressions from the analog trade fair will also be broadcast.

The organizer regularly publishes updates about SPS Connect and SPS in Nuremberg on the event website. Interested parties can also find comprehensive information about visiting the event there.
