SPC control for parts unloaders

Simple inspection of test parts in turned parts production

Sustainability is also increasingly becoming an issue in the production of bar turned parts. Entire production batches are often disposed of, as good and bad parts are mixed together during unmanned production. If they are not disposed of, each part has to be checked in a time-consuming process.

With Mecha's DepotMini unloaders and parts accumulators, defined test parts can be ejected. A newly developed SPC control system with touch display now makes it possible to program the desired number of workpieces for each storage container. This enables seamless, chronological tracing of the production batch. The mapping of individual inspection plans is included.

According to the manufacturer, part families that are produced from the same bar diameter can also be assigned to corresponding containers. According to the manufacturer, this enables unmanned production over the entire shift without mixing parts.
DepotMini parts storage systems from Mecha are available as a rotary table version or as a transport chain version with a variety of containers that can be adapted to the size and number of parts. They can be adapted to long and short lathes as well as multi-spindle lathes in the small diameter range.
