Machine vision software

Machine vision portfolio

MVTec Software is showcasing its machine vision range at the Hannover Messe. The focus will be on the Halcon and Merlic products. In the Robotics, Automation & Vision Application Park, visitors can look forward to live demos that demonstrate the benefits of machine vision in the Industry 4.0 and smart factory environment. One focus will be on deep learning functions. A live demo will show how deep learning technologies in Halcon optimize the identification of objects using optical character recognition. The company will also show how objects can be precisely classified.

Merlic, software for creating professional machine vision applications, is another focal point. A live demo will show how the software runs on an Adlink smart camera. Using deep-learning-based OCR functions, a wide variety of fonts on packaging, such as best-before dates or batch numbers, are precisely recognized in fractions of a second. Visitors to the stand can also see how the software works seamlessly with a PLC and how the remote front end can be visualized on a mobile platform. am
