Implement complex applications and optimize energy consumption

Among other things, Eaton Electrical presented measures for optimized energy consumption in accordance with the new ErP directives at the SPS.

The company also showcased a cloud solution for determining energy consumption, as the requirements for energy management systems for detailed documentation are increasing. Other highlights include the expansion of the EtherCAT fieldbus system for implementing high-performance applications, a touch display for the current easyE4 generation of control relays and the company's own IoT solution for simple data transparency.

The function and I/O expansions of the easyE4 allow larger and more complex applications to be implemented with one control relay. To match this, Eaton presented an HMI display as an accessory with which the easyE4 can be easily and cost-effectively equipped to meet increasing requirements.

The new 3.5" touch panel in the XV102 series was developed for visualizing and operating applications based on the easyE4. It is equipped with a color display. Thanks to the resistive touch surface, it can also be operated with gloves. Unnecessary interfaces have been eliminated so that the touch panel fits into the price structure of the easyE4 series.

The visualization is carried out with a license-free version of the Galileo software V10.4.1. Images and graphics can be overlaid with buttons as operating elements, which allows modern and ergonomic user guidance.

The price-performance ratio of this complete solution is of particular interest to control relay customers and users of compact PLC controllers.
