Virtual cable for cordless screwdriver
When using cordless tools, users previously had to be careful that the cordless assembly tools were not used in a different place in the line - with the risk of incorrect screw connections.
With a virtual cable from Desoutter, the action radii of the tools or employees can now be individually defined and the connected screwdrivers can only be operated within certain coordinates. The solution is based on Desoutter's Connect control system, which monitors the tool position in the room and thus ensures component-related traceability. Assembly errors and quality problems can be minimized in this way, and the high flexibility of the cordless screwdrivers is maintained. According to the manufacturer, the virtual cable is easy to set up and can be extended to any number of tools from the current product portfolio and retrofitted at any time. The compact tracker is simply attached to the top of the Desoutter cordless tool so that it does not interfere with handling. No additional battery is required for its operation, as it is powered by the tool. as
