Standard elements

Clean handles

Ganter develops sealed standard elements made of stainless steel that meet very high hygiene requirements, for example in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries. In many areas, the aim is to manufacture products without preservative additives - this is only possible in production environments with a high level of cleanliness.

As even the smallest weak points can lead to the contamination of entire production lines, Ganter has decided to develop a special series of standard elements that meet the high requirements of the EHEDG and the 3-A Sanitary Standard. Under the "Hygienic Design" label, Ganter currently offers different versions of knobs, handles, clamping levers, adjustable feet and screws, all of which are designed to minimize soiling and are easy to clean. Stainless steel is used as the material in all cases, with surfaces that are slide-ground or polished. This keeps the maximum surface roughness below Ra 0.8 micrometers, which means that dirt particles cannot adhere and can be reliably removed during cleaning.

Another feature of the Ganter standard elements is that they are "free of dead space". There are no internal component areas where substances can accumulate. A hygienically safe sealing concept, which has been verified by software simulation, guarantees that the FDA-compliant elastomer seals fit flush everywhere when installed and fulfill their function in the long term. Tools with special protective inserts must be used to prevent damage to the surfaces during installation. pb
