The IO-Link function handles identify and configure themselves automatically. This simplifies the replacement of components and reduces downtimes when repairing machines and systems. The intelligent function handles also provide self-diagnostic functions. This enables new, predictive repair and maintenance concepts.

The handles have integrated operating buttons, feedback LEDs and optional signal surfaces. They can be configured in a variety of ways via IO-Link and adapted to the application during operation. The diverse configuration options cover a wide range of applications, which reduces the number of variants in design, purchasing and storage. In addition, IO-Link devices can be configured through continuous communication during operation in order to exploit their full potential.

For IO-Link, an industry-standard three- or four-wire standard cable is sufficient. The uniform standard interface can therefore be quickly integrated into the fieldbus world. Even complex devices can be easily integrated. What is particularly interesting is that digital communication guarantees interference immunity even without expensive shielded cabling

The functional handles are made of aluminum and are constructed from a special pressed profile that integrates complex electronic units. The keypads are equipped with short-stroke buttons and have good tactile feedback. Homogeneously illuminated signal surfaces complete the design.
