Extended rotary table series
Precision rotary indexing table
Nexen has introduced the MRS (Motor Ready Sealed) series of precision rotary indexing tables. This series is sealed to protection class IP65 and prepared for connection to a motor-gearbox combination.
It combines all the advantages of the proven roller pinion gear rim systems, says the manufacturer: high precision, zero backlash, high torque capabilities and acceleration. Precision rotary indexing tables from the MRS series are suitable solutions for precise indexing applications in machine tools, assembly and cutting systems, automated welding, semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, pharmaceutical packaging and many other applications. Thanks to the high transmission ratio between roller pinion and gear rim, users can drive the system directly via a servo motor and do not need a reduction gear. The tooth forces resulting from the roller pinion drive are absorbed by the pinion bearing, which means that the motor shaft is not exposed to any radial forces. This eliminates the need for a cost-intensive heavy-duty drive design. The MRS offers high shifting precision with an absolute positioning accuracy of plus/minus 31 angular seconds and a repeat accuracy of plus/minus angular seconds. There is zero backlash between the motor and the driven load. With bolt circle diameters of 150, 250 and 350 millimetres, there is a choice of three sizes. The large center opening serves to optimize performance in limited installation space. pb
