Virtual mining production software

Reduce cycle and set-up times

Virtual Machining production software from Coscom has enabled Werner Weitner to reduce its part and set-up times by around 50 percent. At Werner Weitner, Virtual Machining secures 100 percent of the complete CAD/CAM process in the run-up to production at the virtual workstation (PC). MultiScreen technology makes it possible to work with NC programming and machine simulation in parallel. CAM software technologies, such as Full HPC, and the machine change concept ensure short machining times on the machine and maximum flexibility in the utilization of the machine park, according to the user.

Virtual Machining secures the entire CAD/CAM process.

Thanks to the digital process chain from the ERP to the machine, the machining company was able to reduce its machine running times by around 30 percent and cut set-up and non-productive times by a total of 50 percent. The ToolDirector VM tool management system ensures simulation-capable tool data in the CAM process. The CAM data management FactoryDirector VM serves as a central "data hub" for all production, article and technology information relating to the article to be produced. Program errors or outdated NC programs are therefore ruled out. The systems currently manage around 5,000 articles, 20,000 NC programs and 800 tools. sw
