Within seven years, the manufacturer has become the international market leader in professional and easily accessible desktop 3D printers. "3D printing is no longer just used for prototyping. It is a reliable and easily accessible process that is now revolutionizing manufacturing. Various use cases from leading global companies such as Volkswagen, Ford, Jabil, Decathlon and Bosch already point to this. All of these companies are using Ultimaker 3D printers to work more efficiently and drive innovation. We see a growing demand for Ultimaker 3D printers among similar companies and innovative SMEs in the APAC region. With the opening of the Singapore office, we can better meet the regional demand and support our well-developed APAC sales partner network to accelerate the move towards digital manufacturing in the region. We are delighted to welcome Benjamin Tan as Vice President Ultimaker APAC. His extensive industry experience and diverse network of contacts make him ideally suited for this position," said Jos Burger, CEO at Ultimaker.

Benjamin Tan sees great potential for the development of 3D printing as an independent industry in this region. According to Wohlers Report, APAC is well positioned to take over 30% of the global 3D printing volume. Ultimaker is focusing on local multinational companies to work closely together to improve the supply chain.
