Additive manufacturing

New name, new date: Rapid.Tech 3D 2020

Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D becomes Rapid.Tech 3D. The oldest German congress trade fair for additive technologies, Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D, will not only be taking place under a new catchy name in future, but also on a new date.

Suppliers and users of additive manufacturing are invited to Messe Erfurt from May 5 to 7, 2020. This means that the trade fair will take place around six weeks earlier than in previous years. By bringing the date forward, the trade fair is responding to a request from exhibitors and visitors and moving the event, which is taking place for the 17th time, back to the original time period.

The earlier positioning in the calendar year goes hand in hand with a further sharpening of the content profile. " Rapid.Tech 3D is the only event that is aimed at both users and developers of additive manufacturing technology. Under the motto 'Understand.See.Experience', we are bringing users and providers together in an even more targeted way," says Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt, pointing out the three key elements: "Firstly, there is the international specialist congress, where leading scientists and experts from the field will present the latest industry-specific findings on industrial 3D printing. Secondly, companies and research institutes will present the latest products and technologies at the trade exhibition. At the stands, you can often see what you have heard in the forum directly in action. And thirdly, we offer plenty of space for the joint exchange of ideas and the initiation of projects during networking - analog in the specialist forums, at the trade fair stands, at the networking evening and in special networking corners as well as digitally during matchmaking with the Rapid.Tech 3D app. In summary, Rapid.Tech 3D is the perfect triad: congress - trade fair - networking," explains Kynast.

Exhibitors can still benefit from the early bird discount until November 30, 2019. In addition to using a stand space, they also have the opportunity to actively participate in the specialist congress with its industry-related forums and draw attention to their products and services. They can also take part in the international design competition 3D Pioneers Challenge, which is held annually by the organizer.

At the 2019 event, 4,500 visitors from 27 countries came to Erfurt to experience the specialist congress and the presentations by 180 exhibitors from twelve countries.
