Quality assurance with image processing

Numerous Fraunhofer Institutes conduct research and development in the fields of image processing and optical or acoustic testing for quality assurance.

Exhibits from the fields of surface inspection, optical 3D measurement technology, component identification and augmented reality will be presented at the stand. New developments in non-destructive testing with technologies such as X-ray computed tomography, terahertz and ultrasound will also be on display. Other topics include acoustic monitoring of production and laser acoustics. Numerous exhibits work with artificial intelligence or machine learning processes. The systems and solutions are used in industries such as automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, semiconductors, battery and fuel cell production and recycling.
