Seal for planning security

Certain perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds, PFAS for short, are "perpetual chemicals" that are harmful to the environment, humans and animals.

The EU is working on a ban on these substances. With the "PFAS free" seal, Igus demonstrates that its Chainflex cables are free of these chemicals and already offers its customers operational safety in the event of a ban. Igus does not use PFAS in 95% of its cables. The only exceptions are possible impurities or measured value limits that cannot be completely ruled out due to external influences, for example.

This means that Igus already meets international requirements, as in some countries the export of PFAS is already restricted, subject to notification or authorization. Chainflex cables have been specially developed for use in moving applications; the range now comprises over 1,350 cables in a broad portfolio of cable types.
