Screw drives

Trapezoid instead of sphere

Dr. Tretter covers a wide range of diameters and pitches with its trapezoidal screw drives.

They are used in machine tools, in CNC technology or in feed, automation or handling units. One advantage of trapezoidal screws is their small footprint.

Dr. Tretter specializes in end machining of the thread drive according to customer drawings for small or large quantities. The standard length is three meters, the maximum length is six meters. Special materials and special surface treatments are also possible on request. The connection of a trapezoidal screw spindle to the drive journal of a motor or gearbox is usually not rigid, but rather via a flexible coupling. This allows center misalignment or misalignment errors to be compensated and vibrations and shocks in the drive train to be minimized.
