Stainless steel clamping rings

New models for corrosion resistance

Previously, Norelem's range included clamping rings made of steel, aluminum and A2 stainless steel. Now these versatile components are also available in an even more robust version made of A4 stainless steel.

Thanks to their good resistance to acids and corrosion, these clamping rings can also be used in the chemical and food industries or in applications with salt water contact.

Clamping rings are used, for example, to secure shafts and axles. However, they can also be used as a fixed stop or as a fastening option, whereby they can be adjusted or removed as often as required.

At Norelem, clamping rings are divided into three product families: Clamping rings of the "slotted, internal" type are mounted axially on shafts or axles and enclose them with an even distribution of clamping forces. This results in a dimensionally accurate fit and very high holding forces without damaging the shaft. Clamping rings "slotted, external" work according to the same principle. However, due to the slot on the outside of the clamping ring, 15% higher clamping forces can be achieved, while at the same time these models have a lower imbalance. The bore remains cylindrical - so the shaft is enclosed more precisely.
Slotted clamping rings are available in a normal and a wider version.

The third product family is the split clamping rings. They can be placed both axially and radially on the shaft or axle. The two parts are held together by two cap screws. As with the slotted version, clamping is achieved by reducing the slot height using the cheese head screws. This results in a dimensionally accurate fit and very high holding forces without damaging the shaft. Split" clamping rings can be fitted without removing the shaft. They are also available in a normal and a wider version.

In addition to these product families, Norelem also offers threaded clamping rings and models that can be fixed with a clamping lever.
