Modular expandable PLC

With the modular PLC Kuhnke FIO Controller for DIN rail mounting, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation now has a flexible industrial controller with motion functionality in its portfolio.

Flexible industrial control with motion functionality

Thanks to the real-time EtherCAT master, the CPU runs Codesys SoftMotion CNC+Robotics with typical kinematics and CNC interpolation. This universal industrial controller in accordance with IEC61131 is a modular, expandable PLC with scalable functionality and connectivity. According to the manufacturer, it can be used for simple as well as complex and very fast control, regulation and motion tasks. The flexible modularity of the PLC is provided by the associated EtherCAT expansion modules from the FIO series with a wide range of I/O and safety modules. With additional bus couplers, a decentralized structure with several module groups can be easily implemented. sw
