Adjustable feet

Mara Hofacker,

Firm footing for all constructions

Machine feet, articulated feet, levelling feet, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and elegant shapes: The range of adjustable feet in the Ganter portfolio is large and continues to grow because the requirements are only trivial at first glance.

Hardly any construction can do without levelling feet on which the entire load rests. So what does a levelling foot need to offer in order to survive in a tough industrial context? First and foremost, stability, secure support of any load, precise adjustability and durability. And finally, it should also express all these qualities visually.

The latter aspect is particularly well served by the GN 21 pedestal, a new addition to the Ganter range. It is made entirely of stainless steel, its plate is turned from solid material and has an elegant surface. With fixing holes in the plate, the pedestal is designated GN 23.

With the GN 445 / GN 445.5 levelling feet, the spindle runs out in a ball and is movably mounted in the foot - this makes it easy to compensate for differences in inclination between the ground and the machine. A drop-shaped foot made of fiber-reinforced polyamide forms the support surface; two holes for fixing the adjustable foot are prepared and only need to be drilled. The spindles are optionally made of steel or stainless steel.

Also new are the GN 42 and GN 43, colloquially known as duck feet. The curious name is due to the half-round, half-rectangular bracket shape. The universally applicable adjustable feet have tolerance-friendly slotted holes, while beads increase the rigidity of the lug under heavy loads. Depending on the standard, galvanized steel or A2 quality stainless steel is used, with an optional vulcanized rubber layer on the underside of the lug.

The two feet GN 44 and GN 45 are designed for applications in highly corrosive environments, which is why they are made of A4 stainless steel grade 1.4404. They either have a drop-shaped support surface with a fixing hole or use the tried-and-tested round plate shape; both versions are also optionally equipped with rubber pads.

This means that Ganter is once again adding special elements to its range of adjustable feet. In addition to different plate shapes, the spindles are available with and without lock nuts, with adjusting sleeves to cover the thread and various drive types or with an internal thread, and all in different material qualities.
