Spindles and nuts almost everywhere
Trapezoidal threaded spindles and nuts are used to move components linearly, fix workpieces or make adjustments in devices.
Actuators move components in a system by converting energy into physical movement. There are electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators that are used in various industries - from robotics to mechanical production to aerospace. August Steinmeyer, a Steinmeyer Group company, offers an efficient, clean and economical alternative to hydraulics with its ball screw drives.

The ball screws from August Steinmeyer are characterized by a wide range of uses in various applications.

Just in time for SPS Smart Production Solutions 2021, BMR elektrischer und elektronischer Gerätebau is presenting the compact SFU 1000 frequency inverter in modular design for the control cabinet with a continuous output power of 1000 VA.
At EMO, GMN will be showcasing an enhanced version of its IDEA-4S embedded system for IIoT connection and digitization of spindles and motors.
August Steinmeyer specializes in the development and manufacture of high-precision ball screws and offers a wide range of solutions for various industries and applications.
Measuring system for grinding machines

With MotorView, BMR has introduced a measuring system for grinding machines that records the power and load of the motors autonomously and completely independently of the inverter or spindle type and shows them graphically on an external display.

Igus has developed the JGRM series threaded nut as an alternative to ball screw nuts for use in spindles and for absorbing high loads. The design distributes the radial and axial loads so that the nut can absorb higher forces.

With the strategic takeover of its long-standing partner IGT from Schwelm, Dr. Tretter is further expanding its vertical range of manufacture from finishing to the production of screw drives and strengthening its position as a specialist in linear technology. The manufacturer, importer and engineering partner will be able to offer its customers even more customized solutions in the field of ball screw technology in the future.
To ensure the reliability and longevity of a machine tool spindle and the high quality of the machined parts, the spindle must be properly balanced. Operational balancing is an inexpensive and easy-to-use method.
Every two years, Igus honors innovative energy chain applications with the vector award. First place this year went to the multi-spindle lathe from Gildemeister Italiana. A green vector award was also presented for the first time.
