Digital twins

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Real-time simulation of plants and factories

ISG will be presenting the latest enhancements to its ISG-virtuos simulation platform at SPS. The open software for digital twins enables machine and plant manufacturers to realize simulation models, especially for virtual commissioning.

In addition to the entire life cycle of a system, a wide variety of scenarios can be simulated, from sales and digital engineering through to the operating phase. Visitors to the trade fair can also find out about the latest versions of ISG-dirigent, the automated test platform for users of control and simulation software, as well as the TwinStore, which makes it possible to reduce VIBN modeling times by simply integrating prefabricated 4D simulation models directly from the component manufacturer thanks to its modular concept. The ISG-virtuos Realtime Target will be used for the first time: the real-time hardware for the special requirements of hardware-in-the-loop simulation.

In the field of control technology, ISG will be presenting the latest version of the ISG-kernel. With the help of the control kernel, the extended CNC tasks are distributed to different cores of a control platform in such a way that the control system scales all application requirements. The ISG-solutions service offering, which ISG provides for all software solutions, will also be presented.
