Partner for digital process optimization
Endress+Hauser showcased solutions for digital process optimization at Hannover Messe 2024. To make various industries more sustainable and efficient in the long term, a digital ecosystem infrastructure is needed that generates transparent data streams and optimizes processes.
Based on professional measuring devices, Endress+Hauser contributes to the digitalization of production processes with digital interfaces and services. More and more data is being generated, processed and concentrated into insights for customers. It is crucial that customers gain more transparency about their production in order to make informed decisions.
The standardized digital twin plays a key role - it is the interface for physical devices and components in the digital world and enables the mapping of complete systems in IT systems, for example for the simulation, control and improvement of processes.
Endress+Hauser presented Digital Twins according to the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) standard. As part of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance's "Follow the Twin Challenge", Endress+Hauser is using the automatic identification of physical objects in accordance with IEC 61406. This standard defines a globally unique, machine-readable ID that is attached to a physical object, similar to a type plate or label.
The Netilion product offers digital process support based on the digital twin: all files can be automatically linked and collected with the digital twin of the field device in the Netilion Library so that every document is quickly at hand. Netilion is used, for example, for early flood warnings: data from water level gauges, rain and soil moisture sensors in the region to be monitored is collected and supplemented with other external data such as weather forecasts and terrain information.
