Textile service provider Mewa has a comprehensive testing process in place to ensure safe protective clothing: from the selection of the fabric to the maintenance of the clothing and the documentation of all processes. This increases the safety of the wearer of the clothing and legal certainty for the employer.
Protective clothing must be professionally cared for so that it retains its protective function in the long term. This is particularly important for rental clothing. The service provider offers companies high-quality protective clothing, professional care and a qualified inspection of the clothing before delivery. The fabric is washed and processed 30 to 50 times. The fabric is only approved if it still has the same protective properties. Before the clothing is used, the service provider carries out its own fabric monitoring, independently of the incoming goods inspection by the garment manufacturer. Textile properties such as abrasion, tear resistance and color fastness are also tested on a random basis, in addition to the decisive protective properties. Each item of clothing is checked after every wash. In the event of missing buttons, defective zippers, holes or thin spots, the items are repaired in our own sewing shop. Only certified repair techniques are used. All processes are digitally recorded and documented. The washing history for each item of clothing can be requested from the service provider. sw
