Rental system for cleaning cloths

The Mewa cleaning cloth system is both environmentally friendly and convenient for customers: They rent the highly absorbent cloths, which the provider collects at the agreed time, washes and delivers back freshly laundered. The time-consuming disposal required by law for flammable materials such as disposable cleaning materials is no longer necessary.

Mewa currently washes over 1 billion cleaning cloths for 188,000 contract customers every year. Oils and grease are filtered out of the dirty cloths and used to heat the company's washing and drying lines. © Mewa

Drinking vessels made of polylactic acid that disintegrate into their components carbon and water after use, sneakers made of synthetic spider yarn that dissolve into thin air after a few years, leaving only the sole behind. All over the world, people are researching and tinkering to develop products that can be biodegraded. This is important and contributes to environmental protection. The Mewa cleaning cloth system is even more effective because it starts much earlier: Mewa's customers don't produce any waste in the first place. They rent the highly absorbent cloths, which the provider collects at the agreed time, washes and returns freshly laundered. This is convenient, allows exact cost calculations and saves time, as fresh cloths are always to hand. This means that staff can devote themselves to professional tasks instead of procuring and disposing of cloths in accordance with legal regulations. The number and quality of cleaning cloths - there are four different ones, depending on the area of application - can always be adapted to a company's current requirements.

Mewa determines the need for cleaning cloths and delivers the required quantity at the agreed time. From now on, the employees always have fresh cleaning cloths to hand. After use, they are thrown into the SaCon safety container supplied by Mewa. This not only keeps things tidy, but also provides an important plus in terms of safety, as it is made of non-flammable plastic and has a hermetically sealable lid. It keeps the oil-smeared cleaning cloths safe. Mewa delivers fresh cloths at the agreed time, collects the SaCon together with the soiled cloths, washes them in an environmentally friendly way and returns them to the reusable cycle. Mewa therefore assumes complete responsibility - the costly disposal required by law for flammable materials such as disposable cleaning materials is no longer necessary.

Mewa currently washes over 1 billion cleaning cloths for 188,000 contract customers every year. Oils and grease are filtered out of the dirty cloths and used to heat the washing and drying lines. In this way, the Dienstaleister covers a large part of the internal energy requirement for processing cleaning cloths and thus saves considerable amounts of heating oil. Over the course of time, Mewa has been able to reduce its water consumption further and further by refining its technology. Today it is 50 percent. In addition, although the detergents are biodegradable, they are used in the lowest possible dosage.
