Deutsche Lichtmiete again in the TOP 100
The Deutsche Lichtmiete Group from Oldenburg has made it to the top of the 26th edition of the TOP 100 innovation competition. The company was therefore honored on June 28 by the mentor of the competition, Ranga Yogeshwar, as well as the scientific director of the comparison, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, and compamedia in Frankfurt's Jahrhunderthalle.
TOP 100 uses a scientific system to evaluate the innovation management of medium-sized companies. In the independent selection process, the company with 101 employees was particularly convincing with its innovation success. This is the second time that the Deutsche Lichtmiete Group has made it into the innovation elite and is even in second place in the size category of companies with 51 to 200 employees.
Since 2008, the company has been pursuing a unique business model based on an idea by founder and CEO Alexander Hahn. For a monthly fee, he and his employees provide LED luminaires made in Germany, including installation and customer service. They come from sustainable in-house production and are mainly installed on factory and warehouse ceilings.
LED systems become Industry 4.0-capable
The fact that the medium-sized company invests heavily in research and development is paying off here, with 1.1 million euros invested in 2017 alone. At that time, Alexander Hahn added modern strip lights to its range, which immediately resulted in a significant jump in sales. In 2019, all of his LEDs will be Industry 4.0-capable: they will then be able to communicate with other technical equipment and serve as measuring devices, motion detectors or alarm systems, for example. New types of lights for growing crops are also in the pipeline. Thanks to this impressive innovation success, the company secured second place in the size category of companies with 51 to 200 employees in its second TOP 100 participation.
