Turck develops programmable LED light with optical sensor
With the K30 Pro Optical Sensor, Turck presents a space and cost-efficient solution for applications that require both an optical sensor and a multicolor LED display.
The very compact device with a diameter of 30 mm was developed by Turck's opto partner Banner Engineering and is designed to detect objects in an adjustable range of 20 to 1,000 mm for clear operator guidance. The K30 Pro has different teach modes to meet the requirements of different areas of application. These include object mode for detecting an object within a defined area, background mode for detecting an object while blanking out the background and window mode for detecting an object in an area between two threshold values. This flexibility prevents unnecessary triggering of the sensor and makes the K30 Pro suitable for various applications in the automotive industry, process industry, material handling and conveyor technology.
The user-friendly K30 Pro Optical Sensor is easy to connect via an M12 connector and can be quickly disconnected if required. The non-contact operation of the sensor also prevents possible contamination of the device by the user. The free Pro Editor software allows simple and intuitive configuration of display colors, ranges and logic on site. Thanks to its IP65 protection rating, the sensor is ideally equipped for use in demanding environments. The device is also insensitive to ambient light and electromagnetic interference, which ensures reliable and accurate detection.
