Temperature measurement in harsh environments
With the Capella C3 series, Sensortherm introduces portable and robust infrared temperature measuring devices with technical data that correspond to stationary devices.
The hand-held pyrometers are used for non-contact temperature measurement in the short-wave spectral range and are particularly suitable for measurements on bare metals. The devices are available either as radiation or ratio pyrometers.
Until now, quotient measurement, which provides reliable measurement values even in the presence of dust, smoke and other disturbances, was reserved for stationary devices. For example, a robust, portable ratio pyrometer such as the Capella C311, which is equipped with two silicon detectors for ratio measurement, is recommended for measuring molten metal or the casting stream.
